This Privacy Policy explains how Inner Council (“we”, “our”, “the App”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our services. Your privacy is a core value of our experience, especially given the personal nature of self-reflection.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our AI-driven insights and features, we collect the following types of information:

• User Input: Text, reflections, and prompts you enter into the personality features (e.g., Relationship Mirror, Shadow Guide, etc.), Tarot readings, and Dream Analyzer.
• Profile Data: Basic information you provide during onboarding, such as your name and birthday.
• Authentication Data: We use Firebase Authentication to secure your account. This may include your email address or unique identifiers if you sign in via Google or anonymously.
• Usage Data: Basic technical information such as feature usage patterns, app performance data, and crash logs to help us maintain a stable experience.

We do NOT collect or store:

• Financial account numbers or credit card data.
• Official government IDs.
• Biometric data (Fingerprint/FaceID is handled entirely by your device’s operating system; the app only receives a “success” or “fail” signal).

2. How Your Information Is Used

We use the information collected solely to:

• Generate AI Reflections: Process your text inputs to provide meaningful, personalized responses.
• Personalize Experience: Use your name and birthday to tailor the “Inner Council” atmosphere.
• Maintain & Improve: Analyze crash reports and usage patterns to fix bugs and improve the App’s flow.

Data Sharing: We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on a few trusted partners to power the App’s advanced features:

• Google Firebase: For secure database storage (Firestore), user authentication, and crash reporting (Crashlytics).
• AI Processing Providers: Your text inputs are processed by secure AI engines (such as Vercel AI/OpenAI) to generate reflections. These providers are used solely for processing and are not permitted to use your data to train their public models.

4. Data Security and Storage

Your data is stored using a combination of local on-device storage (Room database) and secure cloud storage (Firebase). We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal reflections from unauthorized access.

5. Children’s Privacy

Inner Council is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have control over your data:

• Deletion: You can delete specific journeys or your entire profile within the App.
• Account Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data at any time. To do so:
• 1.Open the Inner Council app.
• 2.Navigate to Settings.
• 3.Scroll to the bottom and select Delete Account.
• Access: You can view all your saved reflections within the “Journal” section of the App.
• Opt-out: You can stop using the App at any time.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Idaho.
